The Montgomery Museum celebrates it's annual Heritage Day on Saturday, August 27, 2016 on the lawn at the museum.

Heritage Day is a celebration of Montgomery County, VA and its history.

Activities include:
• Antique Engines & Machinery
• Vintage Craft Demonstrations
• Historical Re-enactments
• Pie Cook-Off with a $100.00 prize
• Children's Pie Cook-Off (Under 12)
• Children's Activities
• Animals (Alpacas too)
• Antique Tool Exhibits
• Fine Art
• Live Entertainment
• Silent Auction
• Samsung Tablet Raffle (only 75 tickets at $10 each)

Musicians scheduled to perform include:
• Olen and Francis Gardner
• Fort Vause
• Indian Run String Band
• Kathie and John Hollandsworth

To participate in the Pie Cook-Off, bring your best recipe the museum's cook-off tent by noon. There will be two prizes awarded for Sweet and Savory. A $100.00 cash prize will be awarded to the winners and there will be samples available for purchase for the audience. Audience members can purchase four samples for $1.00. New for 2016, there will be a Kids Category for children under 12 years old.

The Samsung Galaxy Tablet Raffle includes a chance to win 1 of 3 tablets. Tickets are $10.00 each and only 75 will be sold. The drawing will be held at 2:50 pm at Heritage Day.
