"The Kids Left, The Dog Died, Now What?" is a unique musical comedy that centers around the adventures of the 75 million strong empty nest generation. Twenty-two local actors ranging in age from 19-78 have joined to tell the stories of baby boomer families in a variety show format of colorful skits and songs. The warm, witty and sometimes heartfelt themes woven throughout the show include retirement, visits to the doctor, the AARP, dating, divorce, plastic surgery and being a grandparent. A special guest appearance will also be made by King’s Post, a local acapella music group.

Written and composed by Carole Caplan-Lonner and directed by AJ Brightman Moose, The Kids Left. The Dog Died. Now What? salutes those valiantly struggling at life’s golden age crossroads. With divorce on their hands and the effects of gravity on their bodies members of the cast struggle with new technology and the internet dating scene in fast paced colorful skits. The risks and uncertainties of being alive humorously shine through song and scene. “Aging gracefully is the final frontier!”
