The Wildwood Park Outdoor Classroom presents "Keeping Common Species Common: Wildlife Conservation in the NRV" program as part of the 2016 Summer Nature Series on Thursday, August 4, 2016.
Virginia has more than 900 species that are in decline. Recent efforts by the Virginia Dept. of Game & Inland Fisheries have identified what threatens them, and what can be done about it. We’ll look at the species found in the New River Valley and what can be done to keep them on our landscapes and away from the Endangered Species List.
Led by Scott Klopfer of Virginia Tech's Conservation Management Institute.
Join us in a marvelous natural setting at twilight for these free family-friendly multi-media presentations by local naturalists.
