Since their start in 2007, Grammy-nominated Yarn’s original Americana sound has developed into music that seekers of the unique feel as the soundtrack to their lives.
Yarn, led by singer/songwriter Blake Christiana, whose songs portrays life’s everyday emotions, struggles and tribulations with a distinctive and power full voice, describes: “Our fans are like family. We are so grateful to people to love our music and to help support us in creating it. It’s just remarkable.” Christiana says. “That’s half of my love of the road; we’ve got what feels like family in tons of cities across America.”
Yarn has become one of the hardest-working and harder-touring bands for this generation’s digital natives and new music followers. Inspired by today’s music devotee’s hunger for artists to believe in and follow; Yarn has dedicated themselves to perform live in small town and venues all across the country at an average of 170 shows a year since 2007.
They are bringing songs to American music lovers, and the music lovers are responding:
Yarn was nominated twice for the Grammy’s (Empty Pockets, Almost Home), was featured in Rolling Stone magazine, had the chance to collaborate with singer/songwriter John Oates from the Hall & Oates fame and producer Bill Vorndick (Allison Kraus, Bela Fleck),Yarn was also featured on CNN’s Out Front, CMT’s series “Concrete Country” and CMT Pure, Zuus Country’s Americana takeover.
Is there a mark of success for Yarn? Christiana states it well, “To live comfortably and make music for our fans. We just want to be able to do what we love and eat...so maybe we’re already there,” he laughs, “we want to make good music and hopefully that makes someone else’s life better.”
