Description:
The Hahn Horticulture Garden at Virginia Tech presents Wednesday Garden Talk Series: Pruning and Care of Backyard Fruit Trees by Jim May on Wednesday, February 24, 2016.
Jim May is a Certified Arborist, Certified Tree Risk Assessor, Virginia Certified Horticulturist, and Certified Pesticide Applicator. He has many years of experience caring for trees. Jim will share with us proper pruning techniques and care specific to fruit trees.
"Growing your own fruit trees is a dream for many people, but the care of the trees once planted is critical to their success. They require proper planting, pruning, fertilization and some spraying before they can really start producing good fruit. Managing several small backyard orchards for people in the NRV has taught me a lot that I will pass along in this seminar."
The event is free and all are welcome.
