The Pearisburg Farm to Fork program presents a Farmers Market Cooking Class on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Pearisburg Community Center.
The Virginia Cooperative Extension and the Pearisburg Farm to Fork program have joined together with an opportunity to use the products you find at the market in healthy everyday recipes!
Sarah Burkett, senior extension agent, will teach a one-afternoon cooking course, and will lead participants in preparing a healthy and colorful meal using vendors’ in-season products. In addition, she will review the basics of food safety, and MyPlate, the USDA’s nutritional guide.
