Description:
The Science Museum of Western Virginia presents Space Saturdays: The Jupiter System on Saturday, September 12, 2015.
For this event we will discuss and explore the Jupiter System. Discover what Galileo saw when he first pointed his telescope at the sky, and how it changed our thinking about the Solar System. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore what’s going on with Jupiter, and also have a chance to learn how the Solar System formed.
Outer Space is fun, but it’s so big – how can we possibly learn about it all? Here at the Science Museum, we’re bringing astronomy back down to earth with our Space Science workshops!
Every 2nd Saturday at 11 am from September through December, we’re presenting a fun, family-oriented hands-on workshop exploring different solar system topics. These 45-minute programs are sponsored by Grainger and are designed for children and their adults to explore together.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required, so please email scheduler@smwv.org to be reserve your spot. We hope to see you out in space with us!
The Science Museum of Western Virginia is located on the 4th floor of One Market Square SE in Roanoke, VA.
