Description:
The City of Radford presents Saturday in the Park featuring a Classic Car Show and Lucky Duck Race at Bisset Park on Saturday, August 8, 2015.
Schedule:
• 4:00-8:00 pm - Annual Classic Car Show
• 6:00 pm - Lucky Duck Race
The annual Saturday in the Park Classic Car Show will be held from 4-8 pm. The car show is sponsored by the New River Valley Classic Cruisers and Radford Parks and Recreation and will feature classic cars, motorcycles, music, food and drinks, children’s activities and family fun!
In addition, the Car Show will feature a raffle with lots of prizes such as a flat screen TV, GPS, tools, automotive items and more. Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10. A portion of the proceeds will benefit local charities.

The ducks will ‘fly’ into the New River at 6 pm and the ducks will ‘race’ toward the finish line. Prizes are $500 for the first duck to cross the finish line, $250 for second place, $100 for third place and many other prizes will be awarded.
Ducks for the Lucky Duck Race can be ‘adopted’ for $5 for one duck, $20 for five ducks (a quack pack) or $100 for thirty ducks (a flock of ducks).
Ducks can be adopted online at: http://www.radfordduckrace.webs.com or at the Radford Visitor’s Center located at 600 Unruh Drive, inside Glencoe Museum) from Tuesday-Saturday (10 am - 4 pm) or on Sunday from 1-4 pm.
The annual Lucky Duck Race is sponsored by the Radford Noon Rotary and the Radford Visitor’s Center to support the following community causes: Beans and Rice backpack program, the Women’s Resource Center, the Radford Animal Shelter and the Rotary RHS/RU scholarship fund.
