The Shawsville Ruritan Club and Eastern Montgomery High School present The 34th Annual Shawsville 5K and Kids One Mile Fun Run starting and finishing at Shawsville Middle School on Saturday, July 4, 2015.

Join us for a festive Fourth of July 5K race in scenic Shawsville!

Schedule:
• 6:30-7:45 am - Race Day Registration
• 8:00 am - 5K Starts

5K participants will receive a t-shirt and raffle ticket.

Trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall for both women and men. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in all age groups.

The One Mile Fun Run takes place at the same time as the 5K competition. There will be a ribbon for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in both the boys and girls divisions for those who have officially entered the race. Admission is free.

The race also features the Fastest Family Competition which is a unique feature of our race. There are no special entry fees. Just register each person as usual, but inform our staff on the morning of the race of your team status. Please specify the names of the runners in your family at that time.

A team must consist of three, immediate family members. Team scores will be determined as in a cross country meet—that is, by adding the place of each member within their given age & sex category. Low score wins. A tie will be broken by examining total team times. The Fastest Family will receive a photo plaque as their prize.
