622 North welcomes The Freeway Revival with special guests Lord Nelson to the stage on Thursday, March 5, 2015.
The Freeway Revival is a band that was forged on the road. A passion for making and performing original music and an extensive schedule of touring has built an archive of original material and an alchemic chemistry and powerful stage presence.
The Freeway Revival's blend of classic rock, blues, country, and soul incorporates lyrics that are an expression of life on the road. Tasteful guitar harmonies, vocal harmonies, and an assortment of piano and organ melodies provide an all-encompassing, familiar sound.
The Freeway Revival has been blessed with opportunities to open for artists such as Kansas, Ron Holloway, Story of the Year and Devin Allman’s band, The Royal Southern Brotherhood. The band has toured coast to coast on multiple occasions playing to responsive crowds.

Lord Nelson is a rock and roll band from foothills of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Embracing a driving southern rock identity, they perform original songs about the land and people they grew up around. Inspiration comes from a variety of artists and genres for this 5-piece resulting in a unique sound that features three-part vocal harmonies, soaring horn lines, and funk-laden rock beats.
Since March of 2012, brothers Kai (guitar, vocals) and Bram Crowe-Getty (drums), and Henry Jones (trombone, vocals), have been the driving force behind the band. A rotating cast of players has rounded out the group, and currently features Robert Word on lead guitar and Trevor Pietsch on bass.
Following the release of their debut EP, Lost in the Orchard (a collection of songs arranged in an orchard farmhouse), Lord Nelson has been working hard to define their sound and expand their musical horizons. The band plays routinely in the Charlottesville area, while doing mini tours throughout the region.
