Description:
The Color Me Rad 5K returns to Virginia Tech on Sunday, October 26th starting outside Lane Stadium at 791 Southgate Drive in Blacksburg, VA.
You’ll start off with a shirt as pure and white as your grandpa's dentures and you'll soak up enough color while running to change your skin tone forever. You'll wind up looking like a pack of skittles – just make sure not to “taste the rainbow.”
The Color Bombs start flying at 10 am with waves of runners getting plastered with paint every 10 minutes after. You'll end up looking like a kindergarten art class gone wrong... but the Art of Running will make you feel oh so right.
Participants will receive a t-shirt, color bombs, sun glasses and can enjoy a Zumba Warmup plus much much more. Participants are encouraged to dress in white including a white t-shirt saving the participant shirt for other occasions.
Plan on being to the race location 45 minutes before your wave time and make your way to the start line to do a Zumba warmup, win free color, catch free swag, and stretch out your glutes for the RADness to come!
The start and finish lines are near 791 Southgate Drive on the campus of Virginia Tech behind the South End Zone of Lane Stadium and near the Chicken Hill parking lot.
Color Me Rad has partnered with feedONE to provide meals for hungry children around the world and the local charity partner is Special Olympics Virginia. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to each charity.
Packet Pick-up will be available on at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center (670 Tech Center Drive, Blacksburg, VA) on Saturday, October 25th from 3-7 pm.
It is important to pick up your packets (race bib, t-shirt, sunglasses, tattoo) prior to race morning because lines can get a little out of control and you don't want to miss your wave time do you?
Note: The colors thrown at you are gluten-free, non-toxic, non-rash-inducing, Kroger branded, colored corn-starch.
