Description:
The Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts Department of Music presents Music on Mondays with the Alexander Fiterstein Trio on Monday, October 13, 2014 at the Squires Recital Salon.
Alexander Fiterstein formed his Trio in 2008 with cimbalom player Walter Zev Feldman and accordionist Christina Crowder. Walter Zev Feldman (cimbalom) is being replaced by Nicholas Canellakis (cello) on this recital The Trio will perform a program of Klezmer music.
Mr. Fiterstein will also speak following a 1:30 p.m. screening of the film "Orchestra of Exiles" on Sunday, Oct. 12 at the Lyric Theatre.
With major support from the Malcolm and Diane Rosenberg Judaic Studies Program in the Department of Religion and Culture and Hillel at Virginia Tech.
