The 19th Annual Radford Highlanders Festival will be held on Saturday, October 4th at Bisset Park in Radford, VA.
The 19th annual Highlanders Festival brings together Scottish games, music and entertainment for festival-lovers of all ages. Whether a family’s background is of Scots-Irish origin or of other descent, the day always brings with it an air of excitement and anticipation. There is no place more beautiful than Southwest Virginia in the fall and the Blue Ridge Mountains provide a beautiful back-drop for the fall festival.
There will be booths by more than 60 craft and food vendors, children’s activities and much more. Admission is free and the public is welcome.

• 10:00 am: Welcome and 5K Announcements
• 10:15 am: Clan March and Massed Band Performance
• 11:00 am - 12:00 pm to noon: Virginia Highlands Pipes and Drums, Radford University Pipes and Drums & Appalachian Highlanders Pipes and Drums
At the Gazebo:
• 12:00 pm: Arvel Bird
• 1:00 pm: Brynmor
• 2:00 pm: Java Brothers
• 3:00 pm: Arvel Bird
• 4:00 pm: Brynmor
At Shelter #1:
• 11:30 am: Fritz Schindler
• 12:30 pm: Ryan Patterson and Parker Williams
• 1:30 pm: Radford Dance Center
• 2:00 pm: Pop Goes the Weasel
• 3:00 pm: Radford Improv Club's Pridemore Playtime Players
Come early and get a good seat on the risers to enjoy the Scots-Irish heavyweight games. Bisset Park will be alive with clan gatherings, more than 50 diverse crafts, sheep herding demonstrations, and music grounded in the rich heritage of both the Scots-Irish and the Appalachian region.
