The Outdoor Classroom continues the 2014 Summer Nature Series with a presentation and titled: " Leaf Litter Lookouts: Hidden Reptiles and Amphibians on the Forest Floor!" on Thursday, July 24th led by Radford University Professors Matt Close and Matti Hamed.

This hidden but diverse group of land dwelling vertebrates seem to be most affected by human impacts. How to find leaf litter lurkers like toads, salamanders, lizards, and snakes will be revealed and why it is important that we keep a close eye on them. Expect live specimens!

Park at the Main Entrance to Wildwood Park at Main/Grove or the Sundell/Park Road lot. It is a 5 minute walk to the classroom in the center of the park.

In case of rain, the lecture will move to Radford Recreation Center and an announcement will be posted on https://sites.google.com/a/rcps.org/summer-lecture-series/ by 6 pm.
