Description:
The Cherry-Pink-Strong Benefit Concert promises an amazing line-up of Nashville artists on Saturday, June 7th at The Lyric.

The line-up includes the Jason Adamo Band, the Eric Stuart Band (Eric is also the original voice of Brock and James in Pokemon) and a talented group of singer-songwriters including Evergone (based in Charlotte; featuring Blacksburg native Larry Kohler and Scott Harding), Grammy-nominated artist Sam Tate and Good Company.

This is a true community event: all proceeds will benefit two wonderful families with strong ties to Blacksburg. Lauren Cherry, the 4-year old daughter of Steve and Marisa (Martin) Cherry (BHS class of '95) is fighting two rare forms of pediatric cancer. Ben "Pink" Pinkerton (BHS ’96) is currently battling Stage IV colon cancer, and with his wife Karla, is expecting their first child in June 2014.

Jason Adamo has already established himself as a truly soulful singer, entrancing audiences across the U.S. with his inspired lyrics and rapsy falsetto, while sharing he bill with many noted national acts, including Martin Sexton, Carbon Leaf, Brandi Carlisle, Corey Smith and many more.

With the addition of his band, The Jason Adamo Band puts a new spin on Adamo's classic soul. This collaboration creates a refreshing, nostalgic and unique musical experience with on eclectic feel, unique to the industry today.
