Description:
The Virginia Tech Reading of the Names as part of Holocaust remembrance week will be on Monday, April 28th on the Virginia Tech Drillfield.
The US Congress established the Days of Remembrance as the national commemoration of the Holocaust. This year, Holocaust remembrance week is April 27-May 4.
All day, members of the community will be on the Drillfield reading names of Holocaust victims over a loud speaker. There will be people there listening, reflecting, and passing out white roses and more detailed information about the Holocaust.
If you would like to volunteer to read names in a 10-minute slot, please visit this page: http://www.mysignup.com/reading_of_the_names
