Description:
The Jacksonville Center for the Arts offers the class Puppet Construction appropriate for children ages 8-12 starting on Saturday, April 26th.

The six week class will meet on Saturday, April 26 – May 31, 2014 from 1-3 pm each day.

Students will learn to make a variety of puppets from materials such as socks, cardboard tubes, and paper plates, but no sewing is required during this class.

Puppets that may be created during this 6-week class include: Felt Animal Finger Puppets, Cardboard Horse Rod Puppet, Snake Sock Puppet, A Big-mouthed Frog Paper Plate Puppet, Character Tube Puppet, Jointed Cardboard Cat Puppet (with movable limbs), An Athlete Paper Bag Puppet, and a Figure Spoon Puppet made with wood and yarn.
