The Jacksonville Center for the Arts offers the workshop Making a Pinhole Carmera for Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day starting on Saturday, April 26th.

Participants are asked to join us for a 3 hour workshop in the morning or afternoon (the choice of which is up to the participant). We will create a camera, load the paper, and learn how to use it. The Jax will provide all the needed materials.
Then the participants will go out on Sunday to take their photos. Participants will then return to The Jax on Sunday, April 27th, afternoon and develop their photos with the help of the instructors.

After the photos dry, The Jax staff will scan them and put them up on the website for the participants. Photos can be picked up during the following week or left with The Jax to create an exhibit of work that will be on display during our August gallery exhibit.

This special class is being offered in pinhole camera making as a great way to connect our classes, an upcoming gallery exhibit and a worldwide event. April 27th is Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day and participants are asked to take images from that day and post them on the web, giving a world perspective of one day.

Minimum Age: 8 with parent attending as well, 12 to participate without parent.

The workshop will be held April 26-27. Meeting on Saturday at 9 am - 12 pm or 1-4 pm for construction and on Sunday from 2-6 pm for image developing.
