Description:
The TriAdventure Summer Sprint returns to the Christiansburg Aquatic Center on Sunday, August 5th. The Sprint is sure to bring smiles to the faces of triathletes throughout southwest Virginia in this official Virginia Triathlon Series (VTS) event.
Located in the picturesque town of Christiansburg this event features a 400 meter snake swim followed by a rolling 12 mile ride through Christiansburg and the surrounding countryside. Once athletes are done with the bike they will do a 5K run that loops through neighborhoods adjacent to the aquatic center.
The TriAdventure Summer Sprint is for both individuals and relay teams. Awards will be given out in a variety of categories and age groups. Since the event is an official USAT event, there is a $12 fee for non-USAT registrants.
Packet pickup will be at the Aquatic Center from 2-6 pm Saturday, August 4th and on Sunday, August 5th from 5:30-6:30 am. Participants must pick-up their own packet. Photo ID is required.
There will be a pre-race meeting at the Aquatic Center on Saturday at 5 pm.
This event will be using the ChampionChip Timing System (5 splits provided). You must turn in your timing chip at the conclusion of your race or you will be billed for the replacement!
A portion of the proceeds from the Sprint will benefit Fitness in Action, a local non-profit that provides training and entry fee's for underprivileged kids to participate in triathlons.
