The Blacksburg Farmers Market presents Music from Oregon's The Horsenecks along with the regular farmers market vendors on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Market Square Park.

The Blacksburg Farmers Market offers local meats, organic produce, baked goods, crafts, flowers and more in the heart of downtown Blacksburg! Support your local farmers and artists and enjoy the benefits of a strengthened community, healthy living, and support for responsible business practices.

The Horsenecks are an original and traditional old time, folk and roots music from Astoria, Oregon. They play hard-hitting and heartfelt, traditional and original roots music. Their sound is centered around the pairing of the signature rhythmic Appalachian fiddle style of Oregonian Gabrielle Macrae and the inspired guitar and driving yet subtle banjo playing of Liverpudlian Barry Southern.

Harmony singing and thoughtful song writing bring The Horsenecks to the stage with a compelling take on the music that moves them; foot-stomping dance tunes, innovative fiddle-banjo compositions and heartfelt and inspired lyrics and harmony singing.

The Horsenecks continue to set a new standard in today's traditional music scene with years of touring under their belts, appearances at major festivals in the USA and the UK and three critically acclaimed studio albums.

The Blacksburg Farmers Market is open every Saturday April through October from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Market Square Park in downtown Blacksburg, VA. The Wednesday Market is open from April through December from 2:00-6:00 PM. From November-December, the Saturday hours change to 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM. From January-March, the Saturday hours change to 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

All of our farms are located within a 50 mile radius of downtown Blacksburg, VA.

Market Square Park is located at 100 Draper Road in Blacksburg, VA.
